Taylor Swindells started writing music under Neighborhood Libraries in 2020 as a response to the pandemic, drawing from various ambient and neo-classical influences in an effort to preserve mental health and offer fleeting moments of tranquility. Postcards for the Backyard is a meditation on the concept of finding beauty in the immediate; craving quiet in an increasingly noisy timeline. After nearly a decade spent touring, this collection of songs tries to leave that restlessness behind - it is a search for home and a space to belong.
